5.7. Sensor of provision of a butterfly valve

Resistance check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the socket from the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between contacts 1 and 2 sockets.

3. Check that resistance of the sensor increases in proportion to a butterfly valve angle of rotation.

Resistance: 1,6–2,4 kiloohms at the closed butterfly valve

4. If resistance of the sensor differs from demanded values, replace it.
5. Connect to the sensor the socket.

Tension check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check that the butterfly valve is completely closed.
2. Include ignition, without starting up the engine.
3. Connect the voltmeter to contacts 2 (L/G wire – light / green) and 1 (W/G wire – white / green) the socket of the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve. The voltmeter should show tension of 5 Century.
4. Connect the voltmeter to contacts 3 (L/O wire – light / orange) and 1 (W/G wire – white / green) the socket of the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.

5. Measure tension at completely open and completely a butterfly valve closed position.

Tension at completely closed butterfly valve: 0,2–0,8 In
Tension at completely open butterfly valve: 4,0–4,8 In

6. If tension differs from demanded values, replace the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.
