Coupling is located between the engine and a transmission and intended for separation and connection of the flywheel located on cranked to a shaft of the engine and primary shaft of a transmission.
Coupling consists of a conducted (frictional) disk, a casing of coupling with a press disk and a diafragmenny spring and the mechanism of switching off of coupling. The frictional disk consists of two ring frictional slips which are strengthened on a nave through dempferny springs.
The Diafragmenny spring mechanism creates effort which unites work of a flywheel, press and conducted disks for ensuring joint rotation, in this case coupling joins and transfers a torque from the engine to a transmission.
Management of coupling is carried out by the pedal of coupling established on one arm with a pedal of a brake. The top part of a pedal of coupling is connected by a cable to the squeezing lever on a coupling case.
Coupling works as follows:
– by pressing a pedal of coupling the cable of coupling moves and turns the shaft of the squeezing lever connected to a fork of switching off of coupling;
– the fork of switching off of coupling moves the bearing of switching off of coupling which presses the center of a diafragmenny spring, thus, releasing effort of inclusion on perimeter of a spring and moves press a disk back. The conducted disk then the shaft of the engine and a shaft of a transmission can rotate independently from each other is thus released;
– at an otpuskaniye of a pedal of coupling under the influence of a spring all elements of a drive of coupling revert to the original state and the torque from the engine to a transmission is transferred.
From two parties of a conducted disk frictional slips are fixed. The leading part of a disk incorporates to a nave through details of a quencher of krutilny fluctuations which provides elastic communication between them. The quencher of fluctuations reduces the dynamic loadings causing a twisting (raskruchivaniye) of shaft of transmission which arise at sharp change of speed of movement of the car, arrival on roughness of the road, sharp inclusion of coupling, and also owing to unevenness of a torque of the engine. Elastic fluctuations of details of transmission lead to emergence of noise in mechanisms and units, and also to vibrations therefore damage of details is possible in case the amplitude of elastic fluctuations will reach considerable sizes. For absorption of energy of elastic krutilny fluctuations the quencher serves.
The free wheeling of a pedal of coupling is regulated in a junction of a cable of coupling with the squeezing lever.
