6.5. Ignition coil

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Disconnect high-voltage wires.
3. Disconnect sockets from the ignition coil.
4. Turn out four bolts of fastening of the coil of ignition.
5. Remove ignition coils.

Tension check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Disconnect the socket from the ignition coil.
3. Turn a key in the ignition lock in the situation "ON".

4. Measure tension between contacts of ECU and In + in the socket of the coil of ignition.

Tension: 12 In

5. In the absence of tension check serviceability of a safety lock, the lock of ignition and a plait of wires.

Resistance check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. An ohmmeter check resistance of primary winding of the coil of ignition.

Connect one щуп an ohmmeter to positive (+) to a clip and another щуп to each negative (–) to a clip. If resistance differs from demanded, replace the ignition coil. Remember that the block contains two coils which resistance is necessary for checking.

Resistance of primary winding: 0,6–0,8 Ohm at 20°C

2. An ohmmeter check resistance of a secondary winding of the coil of ignition. If resistance differs from demanded, replace the ignition coil.

Resistance of a secondary winding: 10–15 Ohm at 20°C

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish two coils of ignition over spark plugs of 2 and 4 cylinders and press them for connection.
2. Screw four bolts of fastening of the coil of ignition.

Inhaling moment: 15,6–22,6 N • m

3. Connect sockets to the ignition coil.
4. Connect high-voltage wires
5. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.
