Back axis

4–external bearing;
5–brake drum;

Back wheels and brake drums are established on conic roller bearings. Internal rings of bearings are established on an axis which is fixed on a beam of a back suspension bracket.

External rings of bearings are established in the plug which is an integral part of a brake drum.

Brake the drum / plug with bearings fasten to an axis nuts.

Nuts and washers are used to hold bearings and the plug on an axis, and also for adjustment of a preliminary tightness of bearings.

1. Lift a back part of the car and fix on support.
2. Remove a wheel.
3. Remove a dustproof cap.
4. A small chisel unbend a fillet and unscrew a nut.


Be careful not to damage a groove and a carving on the axis end.

5. Remove from an axis a brake drum, a washer and bearings as knot assembled. If it is difficult to remove a brake drum, take away brake shoes.
6. Remove back brake shoes assembled.
7. The special AA0 adaptation ОК670 990 remove an ABS sensor rotor.

8. Remove an oil sealing ring of the bearing and throw out it.

9. Remove the internal bearing from the bearing plug.


If bearings are repeatedly established, note their situation for installation in initial provisions.

10. The special adaptation ОК68А 176 002 remove external rings of internal and external bearings.
11. Remove the ABS sensor.
12. Turn out nuts of fastening of an axis to a back beam.
13. Remove a brake board, then fix it a wire on a back suspension bracket and remove an axis.
14. Vypressuyte ridge bolts from an axis support.


Not выпрессовывайте ridge bolts from an axis support needlessly.

Do not establish repeatedly earlier vypressovanny ridge bolts.


Check the following details and, if necessary, replace them.

1. Check the bearing on lack of wear, damages and jamming.


Replace the bearing in collecting (internal and external rings).

2. Check a condition of a dustproof cap.
3. In the presence of wear or a rust on a surface interfaced to a sealing ring, clear a surface.
4. Check the plug on lack of cracks or damages, and also rusts and developments in installation sites of bearings.
5. Check a brake drum on lack of cracks or damages.


Traces of a rust remove with a fine-grained emery paper.


1. Press ridge bolts in an axis support.
2. Establish the ABS sensor.
3. Establish a brake board.
4. Nuts fix an axis support on a beam of a back suspension bracket.

Inhaling moment: 43–61 N •

5. Tighten the ABS sensor.

Inhaling moment: 17,6–26,5 N • m

6. Establish brake shoes assembled.
7. A hammer establish an external ring of the bearing.


Establish the bearing against the stop in a nest fillet.

8. Establish the internal bearing in the bearing plug.
9. With lithium greasing grease a working edge of a sealing ring.
10. Establish a sealing ring.
11. A steel opravka establish an ABS sensor rotor.


At installation use the new sealing ring which working edge is greased previously with lithium greasing.

At installation of a sealing ring do not knock directly on it a hammer.

12. Fill with lithium greasing the area shown in drawing.
13. Establish bearings of a brake drum and the plug assembled on an axis.
14. Hold a brake drum on an axis so that not to damage a sealing ring.
15. Establish the external bearing.
16. Establish a washer.
17. Screw a new nut.
18. Adjust a preliminary tightness of the bearing.

Preliminary tightness of the bearing: 0,63–0,98 N • m

19. Hammer a nut fillet into an axis groove.

Moment of an inhaling of a nut: 19,6 N • m

20. Establish a dustproof cap.
