1. Examine each valve on detection of the following defects:
– damages or deformation of a core of the valve; – damages of a plate of the valve; – damages or non-uniform wear of an end face of a core of the valve. |
2. Check width of a facet at an end face of a core of the valve. If necessary repair or replace the valve. Width of a facet: Inlet valve: 1,0 mm Final valve: 1,0 mm
3. Measure length of each valve. |

5. By Nutromer in several places measure internal diameter of directing plugs of valves. Internal diameter of directing plugs: A5D engine: 5,500–5,515 mm A3E engine: 6,500–6,515 mm
6. Calculate a gap between the directing plug and a valve core. For this purpose subtract external diameter of a core of the valve from internal diameter of the corresponding directing plug of the valve. Gap: A5D engine: Inlet valve: 0,020–0,050 mm Final valve: 0,050–0,085 mm A3E engine: Inlet valve: 0,030–0,060 mm Final valve: 0,035–0,065 mm
7. If the gap exceeds maximum permissible value, replace the valve and / or directing plug of the valve. |
8. Measure height of a vystupaniye of each plug of the valve. If necessary replace directing plug of the valve. Height of a vystupaniye of the plug of the valve: A5D engine: Inlet valve: 12,8–13,4 mm Final valve: 12,8–13,4 mm A3E engine: Inlet valve: 10,2–10,8 mm Final valve: 10,2–10,8 mm
Prevention
Directing plugs of inlet and final valves are various.
