GENERAL INFORMATION

Sequence of removal of details at removal of a gear belt

1–bolt, 13–18 N • m;
2–pulley of a cranked shaft;
3–bolt, 7,8–11 N • m;
4–pulley of the water pump;
5–bottom casing of a gear belt;
6–top casing of a gear belt;
7–mechanism of a tension of a gear belt and spring;

8–gear belt;
9–bolt, 19–25 N • m;
10-bolt, 157–167 N • m;

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
	2. Weaken bolts and nuts of fastening of the pump of the amplifier of a steering. Having turned the pump, weaken a tension of a belt of a drive of the pump of the amplifier of a steering and the conditioner compressor.
3. Remove a belt of a drive of the pump of the amplifier of a steering and / or the conditioner compressor.
4. Weaken bolts of fastening of the generator and an adjusting bolt of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator.
5. Turn out bolts of fastening of the generator.
6. Remove a pulley of the water pump.
7. Turn out bolts and remove a pulley of a drive of hinged units and directing plate of a gear belt from a cranked shaft.
8. Turn out bolts and remove the top and bottom casings of a gear belt.
9. Turn a cranked shaft so that the adjusting label on a pulley of a drive of a gear belt of a cranked shaft was combined with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine.
	10. Check that the label of I camshafts on a pulley of inlet valves was combined with the index on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and label Е on a pulley of a camshaft of final valves was combined with the index on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
Prevention After combination of labels with indexes do not turn distributive and cranked shaft.
11. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
12. Protect a gear belt pure rags.
13. Remove a roller of the mechanism of a tension.
14. Remove a gear belt from the engine.
Prevention Note the direction of rotation of a gear belt for repeated installation it in initial situation.

Check

Prevention

Strongly do not bend a gear belt and do not change the direction of its rotation. Do not allow oil and lubricant to contact with a gear belt as it will lead to its destruction.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Replace a gear belt if it is polluted by oil or lubricant.
	2. Check a gear belt on absence of damages, wear, stratification, cracks on teeths and in the basis of teeths, and also on defects at end faces and a reverse side of a belt. In the presence of defects, replace a gear belt.
	3. Bend a gear belt on a circle, in diameter of 25 mm and check lack on it of cracks and stratifications.
	4. Rotating a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt, check absence of jammings, smoothness and ease of its rotation.
	5. Check a condition of pulleys of a gear belt distributive and cranked in bulk on lack of wear and the broken teeths. If necessary replace pulleys.

Installation

A5D ENGINE

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
Prevention At replacement of a gear belt surely replace a spring of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt
	2. Take away a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt on the maximum distance and fix it a bolt in this situation.
	3. Check that the label on a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft is combined with the index on the block of cylinders.
	4. Check that the label of I camshafts on a pulley of inlet valves is combined with the index on a cover of a head of the block and label Е on a pulley of a camshaft of final valves is combined with the index on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
Prevention At repeated installation of a gear belt, establish it according to earlier put labels.
	5. Establish a gear belt on the pulley of a cranked shaft directing a roller, a pulley of a camshaft of final valves, a pulley of a camshaft of inlet valves and a roller of the mechanism of a tension.
6. Check that the gear belt does not sag on a branch between a roller of the mechanism of a tension and a pulley of a camshaft of final valves or between pulleys of camshafts.
7. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt therefore under the influence of a spring the roller will turn and will make a tension of a gear belt.
Prevention Do not carry out an additional tension of a gear belt.
8. Tighten a bolt of fastening of a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt. Inhaling moment: 38–51 N • m
9. Turn clockwise a cranked shaft of the engine on two complete revolutions and combine a label on a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine.
10. Check that a label of I camshafts on a pulley of inlet valves and label Е on a pulley of a camshaft of final valves were combined with indexes on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
11. If labels were not combined with indexes, remove a gear belt and repeat operations on its installation.
12. Check a tension of a gear belt. Press with effort of 10 kg to the middle of a branch of a gear belt between pulleys of camshafts and measure a deflection of a gear belt. Deflection: 11–13 mm
13. Establish the top and bottom casings of a gear belt and fix them bolts. Inhaling moment: 7,9–10,7 N • m
14. Establish directing plate of a gear belt and a pulley of a cranked shaft of a drive of hinged units of the engine and fix them bolts. Inhaling moment: 12,3–17,2 N • m
15. Establish a pulley of the water pump and fix bolts. Inhaling moment: 12,3–17,2 N • m
16. Establish a belt of a drive of the generator and adjust its tension.
	17. Establish a belt of a drive of the pump of the amplifier of a steering and the compressor of the conditioner and adjust its tension.
18. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.

A3E ENGINE

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
Prevention At replacement of a gear belt surely replace a spring of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.

6. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt therefore under the influence of a spring the roller will turn and will make a tension of a gear belt.
Prevention Do not carry out an additional tension of a gear belt.
7. Tighten a bolt of fastening of a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt. Inhaling moment: 18,6–25,5 N • m
8. Turn clockwise a cranked shaft of the engine on two complete revolutions and combine a label on a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine.
9. Check that a label on a pulley of a camshaft were combined with the index on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
10. If labels were not combined with indexes, remove a gear belt and repeat operations on its installation.
11. Check a tension of a gear belt. Press with effort of 10 kg to the middle of a branch of a gear belt between a pulley of distributive and cranked shaft and measure a deflection of a gear belt.
