4.4. Water pump


Sequence of removal of the water pump, thermostat and pipes of system of cooling

1–entrance pipe of system of cooling and laying;
2–bypass pipe and sealing ring of round section;
3–water pump;
4–laying of the water pump;




The water pump is not maintainable and in case of an exit it out of operation replace it assembled.

1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Remove a belt of a drive of hinged units.
3. Remove a gear belt.
4. Remove the pump of the amplifier of a steering to remove an entrance pipe of system of cooling.
5. Remove all details in the sequence shown in drawing.


1. Check the water pump on lack of cracks and damages.
2. Turn a shaft of the water pump and check smoothness of rotation in the absence of noise.
3. If necessary replace the water pump.


1. Clear of the remains of laying and an alien material a surface of consolidation of the water pump.
2. Establish on the water pump new laying.
Exclude laying falling as the layer of hermetic put on laying, can be damaged. Establish laying by the party with hermetic to a condensed surface.
3. Further installation is carried out to sequences, return to removal.
4. Fill in in cooling system necessary amount of demanded cooling liquid.
5. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.
6. Start up the engine and check absence of leaks from cooling system.
