1.16. Hatch of a fuel tank

GENERAL INFORMATION

Remote control by unlocking of the hatch of a jellied mouth of a fuel tank (Type A)

Pull for the opening handle (it is located on a floor) at the left forward corner of a seat of the driver to open the hatch of a jellied mouth of a fuel tank.

Open the hatch of a jellied mouth of a fuel tank a hand outside of the car.

Fuel can be under pressure. A stopper always remove carefully and gradually. If when opening stopper fuel outside filters or hissing is audible, before removal of a stopper wait, while course and hissing will stop.

Evaporations of fuel are especially dangerous and explosive. When fuelling always switch off the engine and never fill the car if close is available opened fire or the equipment forming sparks. Before filling always extinguish a cigaret and other burning subjects.

Prevention

Leaky closed stopper can cause burning of a control lamp of malfunction of OBD-II 01 in a combination of devices.

The jellied mouth of a fuel tank is designed in such a manner that in a tank only unleaded (bezsvintsovy) gasoline can be filled in.

In case of need to replace a stopper of a fuel tank use only a stopper of KIA or its equivalent. Use of not recommended stopper can cause breakage of a power supply system or branch system паров fuels.

If in a cold season it is impossible to open a stopper of a fuel tank because it froze, press a stopper or slightly knock on it.

Prevention

Avoid fuel hit on an external surface of the car. Fuel can damage a paint and varnish covering of a body.
