GENERAL INFORMATION

Combination of devices with a tachometer

CONTROL DEVICES

Speedometer

The speedometer shows speed of the car at advance.

Counter of daily / total run

It is possible to choose a mode of the counter of total run, the counter of daily run And and the counter of daily run In, having pressed the button of a choice of a mode.

Counter of total run

The counter of total run shows the general run of the car.

Counter of daily run

Type A: Counter of daily run And

Type B: The counter of daily run In

The counter of daily run shows run from the moment of the last dumping of each of counters of daily run. Counters of daily run And and In can be dumped in a zero by a way of deduction of the pressed button.

Tachometer

Prevention

Do not allow the engine to work with frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine in a red zone of a tachometer. It can cause serious breakage of the engine.

The tachometer shows approximate frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine. Use a tachometer for the correct gear shifting and prevention of dyorganiye of the engine and its raskruchivaniye on it is inadmissible big frequency of rotation.

At the idle engine and the ignition key in the situation "ASS" (Accessory) or "ON" It (is included) an arrow of a tachometer can to deviate zero situation a little. This deviation – the normal phenomenon also does not influence instrument readings at the working engine.

Index of level of fuel

The index of level of fuel specifies approximate amount of the fuel which has remained in a fuel tank.

The volume of a fuel tank makes 45 l. The index of level of fuel is added with the control lamp of a reserve being in a combination of devices.

The index of temperature of cooling liquid

This device specifies temperature of cooling liquid of the engine at the included ignition.

Transition of an arrow of the device from an admissible range in the direction to the situation "N" indicates an overheat of the engine which can damage it.

Do not continue movement with the peregrety engine.

CONTROL LAMPS

Control lamps / sound alarm system

Check of operability of all control lamps, except a control lamp of brake system, is made by ignition key turn in the situation "ON" (thus there is no need to start up the engine). If any of control lamps will not light up, it is necessary to check the car at authorized dealer Kia.

If the control lamp of brake system does not light up at ignition key turn in the situation "START", it is necessary to check system at authorized dealer Kia.

After engine start-up all control lamps should go out. If any of lamps continues to burn, it signals about existence of an abnormal condition of the relevant system of the car.
At switching off of the parking brake the control lamp of brake system should go out.

Control lamp of brake system

Alarm system of turning on of the parking brake

The control lamp will light up, if the parking brake is switched on, and the ignition key is in the situation "START" or "ON". The lamp should go out at switching off of the parking brake.

Alarm system of low level of brake liquid

If the control lamp does not go out at the switched-off parking brake, it signals about low level of brake liquid.

If the lamp continues to burn:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Reach to the next safe place and carefully stop the car.

2. Switch off the engine and check level of brake liquid in a tank. Immediately add brake liquid to necessary level. Also it is necessary to check all components of brake system and to find out, whether there is no leakage of liquid.

3. If define that there are leakages of liquid or the control lamp continues to burn, or the brake system does not work regularly, stop a trip. Tow off the car to authorized dealer Kia or in other competent automobile repair shop for carrying out survey and necessary repair of brake system.

Prevention

To continue movement in the car at which the control lamp of brake system – dangerously burns. If the lamp continues to burn, immediately check and repair brakes. To check operability of lamps, turn the ignition key in the situation "ON".

Control lamp of anti-blocking brake system (ABS)

The control lamp lights up at engine start-up. If the system as it should be, a control lamp goes out. The control lamp of ABS system also will light up at ignition key turn in the situation "ON". If the system works correctly, after 2-3 with a lamp will go out.

If the lamp burns during movement, as soon as possible check the car at authorized dealer Kia or other competent automobile repair shop.

Emergency lamp of electronic system of distribution of brake forces (EBD)

If during car movement two control lamps at the same time join, there are problems with ABS and EBD systems. In this case the ABS system and the main brake system of your car can be faulty. Execute as soon as possible car check at car repair shop of the authorized dealer of the company of KIA or at other qualified car repair shop.

Prevention

If both control lamps (ABS system and brake system) JOINED and remain INCLUDED, the brake system of the car will regularly not work. Therefore sharp braking can unexpectedly lead to a dangerous situation. In this case avoid movement with high speed and sharp braking. Execute as soon as possible car check at car repair shop of the authorized dealer of the Kia company or at other qualified car repair shop.

Control lamp of a seat belt

If a seat belt of the driver will not fasten, at key turn the situation ON will join a control lamp of a seat belt and within several seconds the sound signal will be distributed. If this system does not work properly, address for the help to the authorized dealer of the Kia company.

Control lamp of safety cushions

The control lamp will burn approximately during 6 about each time, after ignition inclusion. If the system does not work or the control lamp will light up during movement, urgently address to dealer Kia or other competent automobile repair shop for receiving the necessary help.

Control lamp of a charging of the storage battery

The control lamp indicates malfunction of the generator or system of a charging of the storage battery.

If the lamp continues to burn during movement:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Reach to the next safe place and carefully stop the car.

2. Switch off the engine and check a tension and serviceability of a belt of a drive of the generator.

3. If the belt as it should be, takes place malfunction in system of a charging of the storage battery. Check system and eliminate malfunction.

Prevention

Do not go in the car with poorly tense or torn-off belt of a drive of the generator. The engine can be damaged from an overheat because this belt also puts in action the pump of cooling liquid.

Control lamp of pressure of oil

The control lamp indicates low pressure of oil in system of greasing of the engine.

If the lamp continues to burn during movement:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Stop the car.

2. Switch off the engine and check oil level in the engine. If level insufficient, add oil to necessary quantity. If the control lamp of pressure of oil continues to burn after oil replenishment, or not oil for refueling, address to dealer Kia or other competent automobile repair shop.

Prevention

If at once do not switch off the engine, it can be seriously damaged.

Control lamp of a reserve of fuel

The control lamp informs that a fuel tank almost empty. The lamp lights up, if in a fuel tank there were 9 l of gasoline. Fill the car with fuel as soon as possible.

Display lamp IMMO (IMMOBILIZER)

When using function of emergency return this indicator helps to execute procedure of emergency return.

Control lamp of diagnostic system

The control lamp is a component of the automobile diagnostic system which is watching various systems. If the lamp lights up during movement, it means that there is a potential problem in control systems of the engine. The car is efficient and further, however check system at authorized dealer Kia or other competent automobile repair shop as soon as possible.

Prevention

Long movement with being shone control lamp of malfunction of automobile diagnostic system can cause damage of this system and can influence operation of the engine and fuel consumption. If the control lamp of automobile diagnostic system blinks, it can mean malfunction existence in catalytic converter that can reduce engine capacity. As soon as possible check diagnostic system at authorized dealer Kia or other competent autorepair organization.

Leaky closing of a stopper of a fuel tank can be the reason of burning of a control lamp of malfunction of automobile diagnostic system. Be convinced that the stopper is densely closed.

Control lamp of switching off of a mode of a low gear of "O/D" (at models with an automatic transmission)

The control lamp lights up at O/D mode switching off.

Control lamp of leaky closed doors

The control lamp lights up, if any door is leaky closed. The ignition key can be in any situation.

Control lamp of heating of back glass

The control lamp lights up at inclusion of heating of back glass.

Control lamp of back antifog lamps

The control lamp lights up at the same time with inclusion of back antifog lamps.

Sound signal of the left ignition key

If the door of the driver is open, and the key remained in the ignition lock, the sound signal reminding to the driver that it got a key from the ignition lock before car closing on the lock will be distributed.

Sound signal of the included headlights

The sound signal of the included headlights will join, if will open a door of the driver, and the lever of switching of light of headlights will be in the family way 1 or 2.

Control lamp of a driving beam of headlights

The control lamp lights up at the same time with inclusion of a driving beam of headlights – at inclusion of the main headlights in a mode of a driving beam or at transfer of the lever of indexes of turn to the provision of giving of a counter signal by a driving beam.
