1. Tighten the parking brake. |
2. Start up the engine and warm up it to working temperature. |
3. Switch off everything consumers of electric energy. |
4. Connect an inductive tachometer to a high-voltage wire of the first cylinder or to contact "About" the diagnostic socket (DLC). |
Prevention
Frequency of rotation of idling is not regulated. Frequency of rotation of idling automatically copes the ESM block. Change of frequency of rotation of idling can be caused by violations in operation of the valve of a control system as frequency of rotation of idling (IAC) or leaks in an inlet collector.

5. At the gear shifting lever in neutral situation measure frequency of rotation of idling. Frequency of rotation of idling (a transmission in neutral situation): 750±50 mines-1

Prevention
At the expense of an ignition spark, "spent for nothing", some tachometers will show frequency of rotation twice exceeding actual.

6. Disconnect a tachometer from a high-voltage wire or contact "About" the diagnostic socket (DLC). |
7. Switch off the engine. |
