13.15. Parking brake

GENERAL INFORMATION

Parking brake

2–back part of a cable of the parking brake;
3–lever of the parking brake;
4–adjusting nut;

5–forward part of a cable of the parking brake;
6–arm of a cable of the parking brake;
7–cover of a cable of the parking brake;
8–back part of a cable of the parking brake.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. Turn out a bolt and remove the console of the parking brake.
	2. Disconnect the electric socket from the switch of the parking brake.
	3. Weaken an adjusting nut of a cable of the parking brake.
	4. Turn out two nuts and a bolt and remove the lever of the parking brake.
	5. Disconnect a forward part of a cable of the parking brake from back parts of a cable of the parking brake.
	6. Remove an arm of a back cable of the parking brake.
	7. Turn out two bolts of fastening of hinges of a back seat.
8. Remove a back seat.
	9. Remove furnish of a threshold of a back door.
	10. Release clamps of a carpet and unscrew it for access to a cover of a cable of the parking brake.
11. Unscrew a nut of fastening of a cover of a cable of the parking brake.
12. Uncover a cable of the parking brake.
13. Lift the car and fix on support.
14. Remove back wheels.
	15. Remove a back brake drum and brake shoes assembled.
16. Disconnect a cable of the parking brake from the lever on a brake shoe.
	17. Unscrew a nut and a bolt of fastening of a cable of the parking brake.
	18. Extend a cable of the parking brake through an opening in a body and remove it from the car.
19. Extend a cable of the parking brake through an opening in a brake board.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Insert a cable of the parking brake through an opening in a body.

2. Insert a cable of the parking brake through an opening in a brake board.

3. Fix a cable of the parking brake on the lever of a back brake shoe.

4. Establish a back brake drum.

5. Fix a cable of the parking brake nuts and a bolt.
