8.2.19. Switch of a range of a transmission

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check that the starter works only at key turn in the ignition lock the situation START and the selector lever in positions P or N.
2. Check that lamps of a backing are lit only when moving the lever of the selector to a position R and a key in the ignition lock in the situation START.
3. Check that position of the lever of the selector and the indicator of the chosen position coincide.
4. Otherwise check the switch of a range of a transmission.

Conductivity check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Disconnect the socket of the switch of a range of a transmission.
3. Check conductivity between contacts of the switch of a range of a transmission.
4. If conductivity does not correspond demanded, adjust or replace the switch of a range of a transmission.
5. Connect the socket of the switch of a range of a transmission.
6. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.
